Men’s golf finished 15th at Seattle U Redhawk Invitational

The Cleveland State University men’s golf team played well in the final round, but finished just 15th at the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational this week.

Anton Krecic led the Vikings with his 18th place finish after shooting a combined 224. Just behind him was brother Joey Krecic, who finished at 227 and tied for 33rd.

The Vikings will have some time off to regroup before heading to the Penn State Invitational on April 14-15.

McNamara earns Horizon League scholastic honor

The Horizon League announced Thursday that CSU swimmer Molly McNamara was named the Female Scholar-Athlete for the 2017-18 winter season.

McNamara, a junior health sciences major, sports a 3.95 grade point average and won two titles at the 2018 Horizon League Championship. She also set five school records in a four day stretch at the Championship meet.

Series with UIC postponed due to cold temperatures

Its been announced the CSU softball team’s  series against the University of Illinois-Chicago will be postponed this weekend due to cold weather. The team will instead host s double header against UIC and May 1.

The team will be back in action in a three-game series at IUPUI next Friday April 13.
